About The Role

Place2Be is recruiting a Recruitment & Onboarding Officer on a 4‑month temporary basis to support national hiring activity and ensure we can continue delivering our vital work so that no child faces mental health issues alone. This role sits within the People & Culture team and is responsible for delivering safe, inclusive and values‑based recruitment campaigns, alongside ensuring new starters are onboarded smoothly, efficiently and compliantly, while providing a high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience throughout.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment campaigns, supporting hiring managers across the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Actively manage candidates through the Applicant Tracking System (Eploy), ensuring timely communication and feedback.
  • Uphold safer recruitment, safeguarding, DBS and equity, diversity and inclusion standards at all times.
  • Manage the onboarding process, ensuring all pre‑employment checks, contracts and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of ATS and HR systems, with good Excel skills.
  • Experience working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise managers.
  • Good understanding of recruitment‑related employment law and UK right‑to‑work requirements.
  • A proactive, organised and customer‑focused approach, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
